Cars for rent in Cyprus

The base price already includes full comprehensive insurance. If you want more peace of mind, you can choose the Ultra full comprehensive insurance in the booking form.

Excess (C.D.W.): €300 for groups A–C (economy, sedan), €500 for groups D–F (SUV, 7 and 8 seater). Covers damage to the vehicle, third-party liability, theft and 24/7 roadside assistance. Tyres, windscreen, chassis, windows and side mirrors are not covered by any insurance.

Ultra full comprehensive insurance (S.C.D.W.)

Optional, +€10/day. The excess is reduced to €0 for every car group. Interior damage, lost keys and damage caused by negligence are not covered.

Driver age

Drivers must be older than 25 and younger than 65. Drivers under 25 can only rent if they have held a valid licence for more than 3 years and an extra insurance cover was agreed. Excess for drivers under 25: €1,600 (groups A–B, economy), €3,000 (groups C–F).

Night pickup & drop-off

Pickup or drop-off between 22:00 and 06:00 costs an extra €10 each.

General terms and conditions (cars)

All fees are payable on site, in cash or by bank card.
All traffic fines are the responsibility of the renter / driver. Please note that since 1 January 2024 speed cameras are in operation in most places. Please follow the traffic rules carefully to avoid fines.
To extend the rental period, the renter/driver must contact Easy Book Rentals as early as possible (preferably 48 hours before the extension). Where possible, we are happy to fulfil the request.
Once the contract has been signed, no refunds can be made under any circumstances.
In case of an accident the renter/driver must: a) immediately notify the police and the owner (Easy Book Rentals); b) not move the car without the owner’s consent or police instruction; c) inform the owner of the extent of the damage and losses.
C.D.W. – Collision Damage Waiver: the renter pays the excess corresponding to the car category for damage caused to our vehicle. If, according to the police or the insurer, the accident was not the renter’s/driver’s fault, nothing has to be paid. The amount is only charged on return if the car was damaged through the renter’s fault. Excess: group A–B (economy) €300, group C (sedan) €300, group D (SUV) €500, group E (7 seater) €500, group F (8 seater) €500.
S.C.D.W. – Super Collision Damage Waiver (CASCO): full comprehensive cover with excess reduction. With CASCO the excess is €0 for every group (A–F).
Tyres and the windscreen are not covered by any insurance.
The chassis, windows and side mirrors are not covered by any insurance.
The renter/driver agrees: a) not to let anyone else drive the car without the owner’s written consent; b) not to let a person with a physical, mental, visual or hearing impairment drive the car; c) not to use the car on unpaved roads, to propel or tow another vehicle, for racing, speed testing, carrying passengers or goods for reward, outside Cyprus or for any illegal purpose; d) that the insurance is not valid in the Turkish-occupied areas – separate insurance must be bought at the crossing points. In case of breakdown or accident our 24-hour service is not available there, and the renter is liable for all damage and the cost of bringing the car back; compensation can be claimed from the insurance bought at the crossing. Check what you buy, as usually only liability insurance is sold there. The insurance office at the crossing points is open until 19:00, after that crossing is only possible the next day; e) not to drive with flat tyres – in that case all damage is the renter’s responsibility.
The renter/driver undertakes to always drive carefully. In case of negligent driving the insurances do not provide cover and the renter is liable for all damage to the car.
The owner may terminate the contract and take back the car at any time if, at their discretion, the car is not being treated properly.
Drivers must be older than 25 and younger than 65.
Persons under 25 may not rent a car unless: a) they have held a valid licence for more than 3 years; b) an extra insurance cover was agreed separately; c) excess: group A–B (economy) €1,600, group C (sedan) €3,000, group D (SUV) €3,000, group E (7 seater) €3,000, group F (8 seater) €3,000.
If the renter does not return the car on the agreed day, time and place, the owner is entitled to take possession of the car. If this is not possible, the owner may declare the car stolen, cancel all insurance and report it to the police.
If an accident is caused by the customer, Easy Book Rentals is not obliged to replace the car and no refund is given. The customer pays for towing from the scene of the accident.
Driving off-road and into the Akamas area is prohibited with every vehicle. If this happens, the excess is charged and in case of an accident the renter is liable for all damage, including towing from the scene. Please note that the rental cars are fitted with GPS trackers.
To protect the upholstery, please do not sit in the car with sun cream, sun oil or sea water on your skin after the beach – cover the seats with a towel. If any stain (sun oil, salt water, body lotion etc.) is visible on the upholstery on return, a €50 fee is charged.
Smoking is prohibited in the cars!

Rental days & cancellation

One rental day is 24 hours. If the rental exceeds 24 hours, a new day is charged. Free cancellation by email no later than 72 hours before the rental starts.

Opening hours & payment

Monday–Saturday 8:00–16:00, Sunday closed. Payment on site in cash or by bank card. Detailed instructions are sent by email after booking.
